The Bay Area Film Society was founded in the winter of 1997 by a small group of film lovers desperate for more films. We kicked off with “The Full Monty” at the local historical society on a snowy February night, not knowing if anyone would show. We sold out. We’ve been showing films ever since.
For our 2014-2015 season, we will be screening films at two venues… the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland and at StageNorth in Washburn. (StageNorth has reopened its doors and we would like to support them!) We show one to two films per month from October through April. Please join us in enjoying great cinema. And while you are here check out our BAFS Blog to find movie trailers, up to date information, special events and lots more.
See you at the movies.
